I grew up on a tobacco farm and used to be a hard core smoker. I smoked 3 (that is not a typo - 3, the number between 2 and 4) packs of Capri menthol 120s (the loooong ones) every day.
I quit 4 years ago when I was going through the divorce and custody battle from hell. Both the ex and his girlfriend smoked like chimneys and I knew that it would be a major point in my favor if I didn't.
Now I get queasy if I catch a whiff of cigarette smoke.

No.
But I know what you mean about the stains on the walls...ugh. I just bought a house and the last owner smoked...gross. Yellowish-brown stains on the walls and cabinets...IN the cabinets...how could you eat stuff off plates that tasted like stale smoke? How could you eat food that had stale smoke soaked into it?
So gross!
Not to mention unhealthy.
So, no. I mean, I don't smoke for a number of reasons, but the whole smell and stain issue is certainly another thing to consider.

I know. I use to smoke and it was the hardest thing to give up and I know that the lung damage is there but I think I can breath better. I don't need my inhalers anymore! Now I only want to smoke when I'm happy, not stressed or mad, happy! Strange huh? The whole world should quit.

Yeah, and????
Are you JUST NOW finding this out??? Look, hun, I smoke and I've known this for years. I'd quit if I could but quite frankly, I like smoking. Everyone picks their poison in life. If you clean houses for a living, you're exposing yourself to other people's cigarette toxins, cleaning chemicals that can also cause cancer, dust mites that can cause breathing problems, etc etc.....and I bet you don't even ENJOY cleaning like I enjoy smoking, do you?

I do smoke and according to all the doctors I have talked to and all the research I have done lung damage is reversible. Just like people used to tell you once your brain cells die you can't get them back...that isn't true either. Once a person stops smoking their body begins to repair itself within hours.

I gave up smoking cigarettes and /or cigars 15 years ago. Never miss them , and I am sorry I did not give them up years ago, or better still I wish I had never started to smoke.

I agree 100% with you. No I don't smoke -- the smell on some people gas me - and it makes their teeth look awful!

I used to smoke, but I quit.
Did you know that in 1939 Nazi Germany they banned smoking entirely?
We are headed in that direction here, they sure like taking people's freedoms away.
