Well it shouldnt really get it infected, you just need to make sure if you wear eyeliner all the time like i do that, you clean it all off before you go to bed. AND NEVER SHARE eyeliner, and keep it sanitary!

If you dont clean off eyeliner, it can build up and cause an infection, but the Best way to get eyeliner off, is try ponds cold cream, put a bit on a tissue, rub it off, rinse off and continue with a face wash, repeat if necessary (the cold cream that is). Ive never had a problem with the infection and I use eyeliner of all sorts, powder, liquid and pencil.

Mascara, cover girl lash exact, make sure when u apply u start at the base of the lash and wiggle it all in that way it defines your lash more, and gives it a subtle eyeliner look if u're not plannin to wear eyeliner on some days.

im guessing ur talking about the lower lid.
some eyeliners can cause infection i had a problem with that when i used liquid eyeliner but now i use CoverGirl and it works great.
make up artists say that putting it on the inside of your lid makes the eye look smaller and no one wants that so they suggest using a light pale color on the inside and using the dark on the outside.

i dont care i still use mine on the inside bc it looks good. if you havnt gotten an ifection from it yet then you probably wont but if you get a sty (puffy eye and hurting) then change the kind that you use.

as for the mascara i use CG fantastic lash which is super good for making my lashing look full and like a fan its awesome. also the CG volume exact is really good too i use those two together.

Your eyeliner should go on your eyelid, not on the part of your eye that rests against your eyeball- that is when it can get infected- the eyelid is safe. However, if you have had an infection in your eye, you need to get rid of the products you were using around that time to avoid re-infection.
I really love Cover Girl Lash Exact mascara- it's great and doesn't clump your lashes like a lot of others do, plus it washes off clean in the shower.

I have used eyeliner for over 20yrs and have never had an infection from using it. You can get an eye infection from anything that may get into your eyes that irritates them and especially do not rub your eyes! This in one of the most harmful things to your eye! As another person said, do not share eye make up! This can cause eye infections because you have exposed yourself to whatever germs they may have! And always replace your eyeliner, mascara every 30-60 days to prevent germs spreading and harboring in them.
How Safe Are Eye-Cosmetics?
Most instances of infection and injury to the eyes are a result of careless application and use of cosmetics rather than due to any of the ingredients. So it is important to follow simple ru;es of cleanliness and hygiene when using eye-cosmetics: wash your hands before touching your eyes; never borrow or lend any item of eye makeup; never use saliva or dirty water to moisten eye-makeup.

Allergic reactions to eye makeup are however, not uncommon: the solution to this problem is to stop using the eye cosmetic which has caused the reaction. But, remember, that reactions around the eyes are not always due to eye cosmetics, but maybe due to the nail varnish or the hair dye you have used.(http://www.101lifestyle.com/beauty/makeup/eye/eyemakeup.html
I use liquid eyeliner and love it!
The best mascara I have found is Maybelliene Intense Volume XXL.
it works awesome and makes your lashes longer in appearance! Another tip is to curl your eyelashes right after you get out of the shower! They will curl better and the curl will llast longer!

uh no-whoever told you that is messed up! because you can only get an infection from eyeliner if you share it with your friends or if you leave it out when it dosn't have a lid. i put myn on my lid a just a lttle line right under my lid. p.s. i think eyeliner is bat crap-lol really.

It COULD get infected, but maybe not.. Try putting it right below, though. It looks way better that way on me than it does on the lid!

you should apply your eyelines on your lash line, try dabbing between your lashes. thats what the make up counter told me and it gives you a natural look instead of the thick black line. and water proof mascaras are nice because it will help you avoid getting a black smudge under your eyes.

i think that's only if you just put it where ever & share it. to keep a lid on it & stow it in a senitary place. but putting it on your lid makes your eyes pop out more! that thin like between your eye & liner won't be seen unless someone's inyour face!!

If you put liner on the inside of your lahes it will make your eyes seem smaller. If you put liner on the outside of your lashes it will make your eyes seem larger. If you don't share with others, and you use a hypo-allergenic liner, than your eyes should not get infected.

i prefer mine on the lid, it just looks better. Changing your eye makeup every 6months to a year is the best way to keep your makeup fresh and free from bacteria.
