They need to go away forever.Our country was founded on Freedom OF religion not freedom from religion like the ACLU has tried to cram down our throats.They're the reason prayer was taken away from our schools and since then they have become more violent every year.We live in a country where we are supposed to have the freedom to worship God as we see fit but slowly and surely it is being eroded by the type of law suits they bring.

It is really funny that the Right-Wing and the "SO Called" Christians hate the ACLU.....until they need them.
What about the case where the ACLU represented a girl who wanted to put a passage from the bible under her name in the yearbook and was told she could not do it? Who defended her? The ACLU!
Let's not forget the Right-Wing sweetheart Rush Limburger , he has stated numerous times publicly that we need to do away with the ACLU yet when the courts were attempting to get his medical records, did he tell the ACLU he did not want their help by submitting an interested party brief on his behalf? Nope!
How about the time the ACLU came to the aid of a child who wanted to sing "Awsome God" at a school talent show and was denied that right? They fought for that students right and won.
Do we think God approves of torture? The ACLU doesn't either!
Try reading what the ACLU is all about before you condemn it.
Just seems a bit hypocritical to me.

They are an insult to America. There is a time and place for everything but they are out of control.
The best response ever to an unsolicited ACLU request for donations was my friend putting rotten lunch meat in their "no postage necessary" response envelope and sending it back to them.
And that, is free speech!

They are not going away and You can't reform them. Try to ignore them is my suggestion. They are radicals and have no clue what the real world is all about. Left wing, right wing, whatever are radicals that manage to tell 1/2 of a truth which is equal to a whole lie. The truth lies in the middle. I'm with you.

The ACLU picks the cases that they think are important. As a private non-profit organization, they can do that.
You are more than welcome to create any other non-profit (or for-profit) group to provide legal support for the issues that you care about -- as dozens of others have.
