I love dollhouses BECAUSE OF THE DESIGNS! Not for anything else! People freakin' think I'm gay! Is there anything wrong with planning on collecting dollhouses [even if you're a guy] BECAUSE YOU LIKE THE DESIGNS?

I don't think there is anything wrong with it. HEY girls r aloud to like boy stuff like basketball ,skateboarding ,dirt bikes ,4 wheeling. So y can't guys like girl stuff. There is nothing that wrong with so can you ............

There is nothing utterly wrong with collecting dollhouses as long as it interests you.Don't listen to people who discourages you from collecting dollhouses if you feel uncomfortable not collecting them.My little brother collects dolls not because he is gay,because he wants to be a fashion designer when he grows up and i totally encourage him so don't let what those people say get to your head.

There is nothing wrong with it at all!! People (men too) like to collect all sorts of miniature things from dollhouses to train sets, from miniature towns and cities to model cars and airplanes. Don't worry what others think. You don't have to be some belching, beer-drinking, screaming at the tv football watching, potbellied guy (which is very unattractive) to be a man!!

I think that's awesome. People are stupid. Obviously you are interested in design and architecture. So you can have the last laugh when you are building models of your buildings as a successful architect!
I love design too. Before my new house was built I wanted to plan out my decor so I made a model of my living room in a shoe box (I just drew each wall and the floor & pasted them in to make it somewhat 3D). It was pretty cool and brought the room to life (more so than a floor plan). People made fun of me and said I was anal and OCD. I think they were just jealous of my creativity!
Anyway, don't sweat it. One of my exes used to have people tease him that he was gay because he liked scented candles and kept his apartment tidy and had a cat. People are dumb. There is nothing wrong with liking what you like. There is nothing wrong with a male being sensitive and artistic.
Dollhouses especially ones that are well-constructed, are cool because they are miniature houses, to scale. Anyway, enjoy your hobby and don't let anyone ruin it for you!

On the radio, I heard of a guy collecting teddy bears and I thought that was a little odd. I guess I didn't know that dollhouses were that intricate, but who am I to say. I guess there's nothing wrong with it, but some people will think it;s a little odd.

You use the word wrong as though it represents a moral issue. I think you realize that your interest in these objects isn't immoral. Clearly, it's unusual, and you can count on people to dump on whatever seems odd or out of their comfort zone. Dollhouses rock. You rock....in miniature.

You don't have to justify things while you are not. So long as you know yourself well then it is only you who is responsible to your actions. Since you love doll houses so be it! Does this change your feeling as a person to categorized you as gay. After all you are after the designs. I don't think something is wrong in your hobby collecting said items.

I do not associate the appreciation with their details of doll houses with being gay anymore than I associate a guy appreciating auto mechanics with being gay... in fact, you're more likely to be around and appreciated by women.
Next time some one asks if you're gay when you say you like doll houses, look at them and say, "Why, are you looking for a date?"
Shuts em up pretty fast. They're more fascinated and fixated on it anyway... Don't worry about it.

I'm a guy and I have always loved doll houses. Many men build them as well as all the little furniture pieces.for a very rewarding hobby.
Ignore the naysayers and those who would step on your fun and your dreams. They just don't have anything going for themselves except putting others down.
