The term "Coptic" is sometimes used synonymously with the term "Egyptian", but that is not entirely precise or accurate.
The term "Coptic Christian" is generally used to refer to an adherent of the "Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria" in Egypt. About 95% of Egypt's self-described "Christians" are adherents of that "Coptic Church" (its more common name).

Around the globe, the vast majority of self-described "Christians" do little in the way of preaching, and sadly this is also true of the Coptic Church. By contrast, Jehovah's Witness Christians in Egypt actually do work to preach both informally and formally, including by means of the door-to-door ministry.
Because their work is under ban, it makes it impossible for them to publish their statistics for this repressive, predominantly Muslim country. Jehovah's Witness Christians in Egypt are including in their report for "29 other lands".

Interestingly, about 6% of the Witnesses in those 29 lands have been baptized just in the past year!

wow, ....................nothing ,,, sometimes ago the Catholics built some schools with a promise not to be religion oriented ,, you are living in Egypt, are not you, ,, after all you should know that converting of a Muslim is not legally accepted, nor socially(that will be for both Muslims or christians) and always creates lot sof problems for all ,,,,,.. if you are asking among the Christians themselves, well I think there was an agreement among the 3 main christian divisions , that , no diversity is accepted (as that was a way to some Coptic Christians to get a divorce)

They do but not in a public way
& when they are discoverd they face trouble
Also muslims do the same on a narrow basis
I know 5 christians converted to Islam in Egypt but I never seen any muslim converted
This conversion thing isn't a big deal because the religon of the person is inside his heart not on his ID

If they are truly Christians, they will have the shine of the Holy Spirit on their faces...Otherwise known as: The glory of the Lord reflected on their faces.
See Exodus 34:29-35 and 2 Corinthians 3:18.

Coptic christians do not promote their beliefs to others. as the "others" are Muslims, and Muslims don't appreciate any other religion to be promoted on them.
By the way, Muslims don't promote Islam on Christians either..those acts are against the interests of the national security of Egypt.
