i ask myself that as well and i know my collection of 506 volumes is a very small amount when compared to others. :( keep dreaming with me.

Depends in the expression of "how far"
Location wise: Find the biggest book store in Japan and pretty much go there and buy the whole floor or floors (not aisles). That will be just give you the current or newer stuff.
Then try to find another stores where you can track down major manga series to try to complete your acquired items.
Now try to find a place where to deposit every thing you acquired.

VERY far. If you've ever been to Akihabara, you will see endless and endless rows of manga...and that's just current stuff, not including older mangas. I would say to just forget it. You would probably need to be a MULTI-millionaire, not just a millionaire. But hey, you got MY support. E-mail me if you want pics of the rows and rows of manga they have...
