Aren't there more qualified people that are US citizens who don't have Nazi ties like the BushFraud administration? Do we need anymore proof that our country is in decline and heading towards fascism?
I don't see why there is such a big push to ammend the costitution for a foreign born actor.
And what is it with Republicans and actors anyways?
Here is a great Arnold quote where he supports a former Nazi:
"My friends don't want me to mention Kurt's name, because of all the recent Nazi stuff and the U.N. controversy, but I love him and Maria does too, and so thank you, Kurt."
Arnold Schwarzenegger on his friend and fellow Austrian Kurt Waldheim, a Nazi war criminal

The American Constitution will never be amended to allow a foreign born to become president. The proposition would never gather enough votes in favor. That stipulation is a corner stone of The Constitution. It was added because of fear of outside interference in American affairs. It is as solid as America will never have a king or queen. There is a very small fringe group in the republican party that would like to see that amendment to enable Schwarzenegger to run. Its wishful thinking.
By the way, Kurt Waldheim was a Nazi, but not a convicted war criminal. Whatever Schwartzenegger's father was has little to nothing to do with him as a human being today. It is not right to rain down the sins of the parents on their children.

I agree totally with you. Only natural born citizens should be allowed to run for president. Schwarzenegger is not a nazi sympathizer though. The guy is barely a republican his wife pretty much moved him sharply to the left. By the way before any of you Democrats get too cocky, we did have the son of a nazi sympathizer elected president. J.F.K's father was very sympathetic Nazi Germany before the war. You don't hear anything about that from the media.

True, Arnold should not be judged for what his father did or after his mom remarried another SS officer and therefore continuing on the same raising.
Maybe we should judge him on how he dreams of being "King of the World" or how he praises Hitler and gives out recordings of Hitler to friends (this in a Mar. 1992 segment in Spy magazine) or thinks of Hitler of being a great man for starting off with nothing and gaining so much.
But if people actually push for him to have an Amendment granting him chances for presidency, I'll be pushing those people off this country for acts which are Unconstitutional. He ain't no natural born citizen and deserves no chance of ever being in the White House. Kinda pisses me off that the Simpsons movie shows him as President.

You must be blind! Arnold is technically a Republican by registration, but he is in the left of any and all things conservative. His wife, Maria is a registered Democrat and kin to the Kennedy clan. Cant get much more liberal than that.
Where is the proof that this alleged constitutional amendment is being pushed by anyone not to mention the Republicans. Though so.
The majority of hollyweird is liberal, not conservative. Just open any newspaper in So. Cal. (aka the LA Times).
You liberal left are giving away this country to every illegal that can get here and every lowlife that cant or wont get a job.
You have been listening to Obermann and the rest of the media left way too long. Get your head out of the sand and open your blind eyes. Facist? OMG, Facism and Communisim and Socialist are realated and that is where the liberals in this country are taking us.

I, for one, oppose allowing naturalized citizens to become President.
But then, I am not a Republican. I am a Conservative.
Still, your question is interesting--it exposes the sort of prejudice and racism that infects liberals. You paint Arnold as being unfit for office, because he is the son of a Nazi. Your prejudice is based on heritage and ancestry, and as such, is no different from the Nazi belief that your worth as a human being is based on the accident of birth.
So while Arnold's parentage has NOTHING to do with Nazism, let me ask you about another issue in which Democrats and Nazis hold the same ideals.
Why are the Democrats pushing legislation that was favored by the Nazi party? Namely, the disarming of a nation's citizens. If you favor gun control, doesn't that make you more like a Nazi than any circumstance of birth would?
After all, by promoting gun control you are CHOOSING to emulate the Nazis. Simply being born to a Nazi parent is happenstance, over which you would have no control.

Because in the US, it's illegal and unconstitutional to punish someone based on the actions of their parents.
And his personal support for a person does not mean he supports the Nazi party or supports what that person may have done.
That being said, I don't like Arnie -- but that's not valid grounds to argue that a constitutional amendment is stupid.
And Arnie is one of three state governors who are popular in their states, but are not natural born citizens. So, the amendment is not solely for his benefit.

Arnold is actually of austrian decent, not german. And his being Austrian makes him no more a nazi, than your being white makes you a member of the klu klux Klan.
I am against reformation, but for entirely different reasons.
I do find it interesting that you jump on the anti propoganda bandwagon, and then turn around and sling it back in the republican parties face by insighting Kurt Waldheim.
interesting.
You're making us dems look bad...so please...stop "helping"

It won't pass through a Democratically-Controlled Congress, so don't worry about it.
And no. I don't support Bush, nor do I like Arnold.
But I refuse to call them Nazi-backers. That's irresponsible, offensive, and a ridiculous accusation.
I doubt any of those quotes are real.

It bothers you that Arnolds' father capitulated to the nazi soldiers to save his and his families life, but not that Robert KKK Byrd represented and lead a bigoted group of people responsible for the murders of countless Americans. Sad for you.
