Don't misunderstand me, this question has nothing to do with race or the colour of someones skin..... I just don't like the idea of a nation that believes in reincarnation being the proud owners of multiple thermo-nuclear weapons!!!!!

Good answer TG but heres better examples of why so much of the world hates America. 1. You are arrogant (not everyone on Yahoo Answers is in America, I'm in the UK) and 2. You are to stupid to realise a joke question when you read one.

Why not you cannot uninvent nuclear technology, and I can think of no other country, trying has hard as India in providing for its people, yes there are still inequalities but that is found in any society, but since independence from Britain India is a beacon to the rest of the world. With a stable democracy and a fantastic education system.

PAKISTAN

Pervez Musharraf is an Allah Akbar cry away from being 'deposed', thus arming the Islamists with nuclear weaponry.

India is vital to deterrence if and when this happens..

Remember back in '98 when the "Islam Bomb" was paraded through the streets of Karachi?

Friggin' scary

There's a perfect example of why so much of the world hates America. Why do we feel it's up to us to decide what other countries should be "allowed" to do? We take it for granted that we can force other nations to knuckle under either to our economic might or our intimidating military. And we're so hypocritical! It's ok for the US to have nuclear weapons, becase "we can be trusted," but nobody else can. What arrogance!

The whole world should be banned from developing nuclear weapons and nuclear energy. It's dangerous, indiscriminate and wrong.

It's a matter of how one sovereign country can force another sovereign country to do something.

India is its own country, bound by its own laws. International policies and treaties only apply if a country accepts them as a matter of their own laws.

So, other than attacking them to stop them, or refusing to interact with them (trade sanctions), there's really nothing anyone else can do.

And who is going to stop them, should they decide to go ahead. You are speaking of the second largest nation on earth.
