Depends on which tally you look at. If a statewide recount had been conducted, Gore would have won Florida’s electoral votes. As you know, Gore won the popular vote nationwide.

No!!

It was a SCAM by the Gov. of Fla., Jeb Bush, and the entire Rep. party of Fla.

Gore had the election won until the SCAM by the Reps.

Had Gore been put in Office where he belonged, there would have been no 9-11 attacks, no lost war, that continues to take lives of our troops. No high fuel prices, no "mad cow" nonsense that was made up by the Reps,...The list goes on and on.....

We the Ppl would be living a lot better had the 2000 election been decided on the 'actual" vote count and not by the SCAM vote count set forth by the Reps.

And We the Ppl are suppose to "TRUST" ppl like that?

By Supreme Court fiat, yes.

The Supreme Court analysis was actually not as broken as most people think. Their ruling was that the recount in one or two counties violated equality requirements because the recounts were not being conducted uniformly, and because recounts were not being conducted in other counties.

The better answer would have been to affirm the Florida Supreme Court ruling and order a consistent recount under clearly established protocols to ensure fairness.

They didn't, which resulted in an incomplete and possible fraudulent vote being certified. Bad move on the part of the US Supreme Court -- but not their first mistake, or their last.

No. Clinton won and gave all his votes to Bush because Algore was too busy flying around the world in private planes preaching about global warming to be president.
Clinton knew Algore would have a greater impact as a private plane citizen so in order give Algore time to save the world Clinton made Bush president

All the recounts show that he won. Since the state certified its electors in Bush's favor, this question is a moot point. However, it is interesting to note that the butterfly ballots in that one county gave Buchanon 2000 votes that polls suggested he shouldn't have gotten. If people in that county would have paid more attention to the ballot then Gore probably would have won.

Keep in mind though, an election is about counting properly marked ballots. It has nothing to do with 'the will of the people.'

No. The counting of the votes was stopped and the Supreme Court appointed him president. There were many disenfranchised voters in Florida that year due to a lot of hanky panky!

Many say that Bush would have won anyway but if you factor in the disenfranchised voters, he lost.

In the end it is us who lost. Many, Many, Lives.

Bush won according to the count that was certified by the state. But studies have shown that if an accurate recount had been done of the entire state, which the Florida Supreme Court had ordered, but was prevented from carrying out by the US Supreme Court, Bush would have lost.

Well, Let's see.

Bush won every single time the Florida votes were counted. Even the media recount votes after it was all over resulted in President Bush winning.

Al Gore did not win one single count in Florida, official or unofficial.

And that was after Gore had had the military absentee ballots thrown out!

There is no dispute that President Bush won Florida except in the minds of a bunch of lunatics who completely ignore the facts.

Yes he did! The Dem's just didn't want to believe it, and they had a very hard time excepting it. Be thankful that Bush was in and not Al on 911. I am sure that we would have had more attachs by now if Al would have been elected.
