What about FRUIT SEEDS?(like apples or pears or even pits from peaches or plums)

Yes they can. At least some for sure. I threw some cantelope in my compost bin and in a few days the seeds were sprouting.

Dry, they also may have to go through a dormant period with a certain amount of cold. Tomatoe seeds have to be fermented in the flesh of a tomatoe to be viable.

well it really all depends check out videojug.com for some how to's and i would have said yes to letting them dry out but, when birds drop down lil suprises and somehing grows from it those seeds dont have to dry....so it all depends upon nature;)

i think they have to dry first, cause thats always what my dad says
