Really...what are their chances?

Assuming that the Seahawks make the superbowl, I don't think I like their chances against any of the AFC division champ teams from last year. Assuming that it stays the course:

I would take Rivers/LT over Hasselback/Alexander. I would also take the Chargers defense over the Seahawks defense. LT breaking the TD record speaks for itself. I wouldn't take the Chargers lightly even if it might take them some time to get used to an entirely new coaching system.

Against the Colts, all though the defense stepped up in the post season, I don't think it's all that great even with a healthy Bob Sanders. However I say it's hard to argue against Peyton Manning winning a potential shoot-out.

The Patriots are a very intelligent team, they had a top 5 quality defense, and they usually seem to have a blueprint to win even if they don't have the flashiest receivers, or the top ranked running game, they do have Brady who has a history of being clutch. You can say Viniateri is the reason the Pats won their superbowls, I ask though which QB led his offense to give the kicker a chance to win the games? The same QB that the Seahawks would see even with a different QB.

And the Ravens, you have Alexander, but he's getting neutralized and the defense are putting you in a situation
where they know you are going to pass. If the defense could contain Peyton Manning in the playoffs, the best QB statistically that the league has to offer, they can hold their own against any QB. I think that will continue to be the case even with the loss of Adalius Thomas, because this system constantly gets the best out of it's players. Long day for the opposing offeses.

It's a long day for the opposing team if the Ravens offense does what it needs on it's end to win. I think the Seahawks would have an uphill battle against what the AFC will project to have as it's top teams again. I won't go so far as to say NO the Seahawks won't win the superbowl because anyone can win on any given Sunday, even superbowl Sunday.

I just wouldn't like the Seahawks chances this year provided they made it. I think the NFC will make a comeback as they generally continue to draft higher than the AFC during the off-season, therefore getting the players with better potential to build around, but I don't see gaining much ground on the AFC this year.

Seattle better watch out this year. The NFC west won't be the cakewalk that it has been in the past few years. The Niners are decent, had a great draft. The Cards drafted some protection for Leinart and have a great (young) receiving squad. The Rams are the Rams, with Jackson, Holt and Bulger.

I lived in the Seattle area for the last 6 years. They were always bragging about "The Seahawks win their division..." Well, they should have. That division was a joke.

Sean Alexander....overrated
Matt Hasselback...underrated but dedicated
Lofa Tatupu...too big of a star for that city. He will be out of there in a couple years.

Also, my team, Americas' team, the DALLAS COWBOYS picked up that great safety Hamlin...what a waste. I wish he would have been hit with that sign harder in Pioneer Square

GO COWBOYS

No way. Id be surprised to see them in the superbowl for a couple years. Its going to be NE vs NO with NE winning by a fourth quarter rally.

Here's how the NFC West will finish:

1. Cardinals
2. Rams (wild card)
3. Seahawks
4. Niners

Seattle doesn't make the playoffs, let alone the Super Bowl, this year.

The Seahawks may win the Super Bowl....and Buffalo may become a resort destination comparable to Miami.

Anything is possible right?

You should be asking, will the Seahawks even make the playoffs this year?

I would say they have a shot, the defense is way upgraded and with Branch getting a full training camp and Pollard added I would say they are looking very good.

No but I do think that they will make it to the playoffs though
The teams that are going to make it to the superbowl will be the cowboys and the bengals but I think that the bengals will win 21 to 14
