What you are seeing is increased slime on the fish. That's completely typical and normal with an ich out brake. Washing the fish would be very damaging and would cause serious harm, please don't. The increased slime will help protect your fish from more ich attaching to them. Just keep up the treatments and water changes. A 50% water change everyday while cleaning the gravel will remove loads of the ich and help the treatment along. Remember though, after each water change, replace ONLY the amount of medication for the water you removed. For example, in a 20 gallon tank, you would remove 10 gallons for a 50% change. After that you would add enough medication for the 10 gallons, not enough for the entire 20 gallons.

If you have additional questions about any of this you can feel free to email me.

Have you added some salt, Raise the temp to 86F if you havent allready done so., DO NOT WASH THE FISH, it will remove the slime coat and they will be more likely to get ill and more pro noun to get bacterial infections as well as ich.

Good luck
