Yes i drive real well with my bare feet but i mostly like wearing shoes better. And its not against the law to be barefoot to drive. Well thats how it is in Texas but i don't know about the other states.

I don't drive at all but I still know that it's NOT against the law in ANY US state to drive barefoot. Unfortunately, this myth is so common that even some cops believe it... but everyone who believes this please see source and stop spreading this falsity.
Some cops are convinced it's unsafe and even though they know it's not illegal may try to write you up for unsafe or reckless driving, however please see the second and third link in the source, for two sites (one from the Michigan PD, one from an Australian newspaper) making it clear that driving barefoot is no more unsafe than many types of footwear that are regularly worn and could even be considered safer than many kinds of shoes.

That was the only way I could learn how to drive a stick-shift. I needed to feel the "catch" point between the clutch and gas pedals. I don't really do it much anymore, so I guess you could say I prefer to have shoes on.

I love driving in my bare feet - I really feel in control of the pedals! Course, I love doing most things in my bare feet!

Yes, in fact that's how I prefer to drive. Much more comfortable, esp. on a long trip.

I can, since its summer i wear flip flops and sandals with heels so it makes it difficult to drive. So i just slip them off.
