My 11 month old daughter refuses to eat a bottle. I have to distract her with toys, stuffed animals, etc. so she eats at least some of the bottle. She is suppose to be eating 32+ oz per day, but sometimes doesn't clear 20+.
She does eat 3 meals per day, but I've even tried cutting out the meals for her to eat the bottle, but it doesn't work. I try to feed her a bottle before every meal, she eats some but almost never a full one.
Lately it's been worse, barely ANYTHING. She sleeps through the night so we only have during the day to try and make her eat. I can't find any information on this on the internet. Someone please help!!!

Maybe she doesn't like the taste of the plastic, lol, sorry, I couldn't resist.
I think she is eating enough but she does need to up her fluid level. Maybe she just doesn't like the bottle anymore. Have you tried a sippy cup, or a cup with a straw. Every childs preference is different. She seems fine, but if she seems weak or crying more than usual, you need to call the pediatrician. I don't see it being a problem, though. Especially if her weight is good and she is active. Don't worry, us as mothers worry so much we forget to sit back and just enjoy.

You know that you are supposed to switch to milk after 12 months right? Well maybe your daughter is trying to tell you that she doesn't want the bottle anymore. Try talking to your pediatritan about whats going on, but I personally don't see the problem with cutting the bottle now and going to a sippy cup. Don't cut out her meals... if she is sleeping through the night and eating her meals good, I would think she is fine. Sounds like your little girl is growing up.

let her try a stage 1 sippy cup. she may like the big girl feel of things. Maybe she doesnt like formula anymore (thats ok!), let her try pediasure or whole milk. And keep her eating veggies and trying new foods cut in very small pieces so she can pick up her food with her fingers by herself.
As long as she is healthy, she will get enough to eat, if you are worried about her being dehydrated let her try pedialyte or some other clear liquids. Like 1/2 water 1/2 juice, gatorade, sprite. It wont hurt her and it may spark up her appatite fpr new stuff.
Dont make it a major deal, she will pick up on it. Let her explore and try some new stuff on her own!

I understand that she should be eating 32oz or more but as my personal opinion I think that as long as she is getting 3 healthy meals a day and drinking the 20oz of formula that should be sufficient. It seems like you are really stressed over it and I would stop worrying so much as long as she isnt losing weight shes fine :) They say you can take kids off formula at 12months and shes only a month away. I think its great that she is eating the 3 meals!! Good Luck!

NO NO NO do not cut out her meals! Sounds to me like you should switch to whole milk! You can not force a baby to be interested in the bottle they say you switch at a year old! Your baby is a month away! Do not force your child to eat! You can not force a child to eat that is borderline child abuse! Also try introducing more juice and a in a sippy cup!

kids go through growth sperts she probably just isnt going through one right now. Just please dont cut out her regular food to make her dring a bottle. She needs the bottle yes but she also needs the food maybe just start giving her less of everything. She will hit a growth spert and eat everything in sight. She wont starve herself she will eat when she is hungry. Good luck

Try offering her a cup. Maybe she's ready for a new challenge and is bored with the bottle. If you can't get her to eat I'd talk to her pediatrician about it.

If I were you I would stop trying to give her the bottle, she saved you a lot of work by giving it up on her own. By 12 months she needs to be drinking whole milk in a sippie cup, so just give that to her. DON'T keep trying to give her the bottle, she quit on her own, this is awesome.
