Is there anything about this type of boat that I should pay special attention too?
Also can anyone recommend any websites or blogs that I can referance for boats of this generation?

I really not know. I will say the Chris Craft has always been a favorite for myself. Constellations are a #1 choice. I think the 1967 had Fiberglass, but, I not bet money. Seems Twin Chevy 283's where a common engine. There are a lot of these boats still around, even the old Wood Hulls. When taken care of they last. Wood boats seem to do better in Salt Water.

There is a great site for vintage fiber glass boats called fiberglassics.com. Its for boat owners and has loads of info on restoring, problems, etc. A very friendly bunch of folks. Also, the Classic Boathouse at vintageglassboats.com. Last, but not least, Broke Boats.com. I have a 18 ft 1965 Sunliner and have gotten a lot of help.

They were built in Algonac Michigan and the plant still remains even thought Chris Smith moved his operation out long ago. Most of the master wood builders went over to a custom build shop called Maya's in Fair Haven. All of the plans and a huge stock are still there today. You can pick them up for a "small investment" and return them to their old glory or buy a new Maya (same boat different name) brand new.
