The places that handle non-fashion models are called Real People agencies. (Unless you're extra tall and thin you're not a fashion model.)

You can usually find these agencies on line. Often they deal with both types of models. You can get print or television work and expect to make about $500 a day for a full day shoot. The work is sporadic and you have to have a flexible schedule to make it to daytime auditions.

You definitely shouldn't pay an agent up front, but do get some professional photos taken. This can cost between $200 and $400.

It takes years of work- I have been a working actor and model for the last 6 years and I spent about 4 of them looking for an agent who would sign me. Top agencies are not interested unless you have done some major work or have some friends in high places. You also need to be in one of the major cities- for commercial work your best out in LA and theater your best out in NYC
I hate to be negative...but in order to be successfull you not only need to be extraordinarily talented, be very attracting and hard working- you also need to have connections and as many casting directors have said "have that twinkle in your"
you wont get signed unless the agency sees you and thinks money.

best of luck!

"Acting, modeling, commercials," etc. are "CITY specific,"
We can't help you.

We are in cities all over the United States.
We have NO INFORMATION on where you live, you must search for that information yourself.

You MUST contact the professionals in your city, that can answer your questions.

Ask your friends that are in modeling and acting. If you don't have any, many cities have workshops for actors.
