do a lot of rrunning first thing in the morning or after 30-40 minutes of exercise because that way you will be burning fat and not the food you ate earlier, for gaining muscle just hit the gym as long as u incorporate running with your workout u will lose your fat and become much more cut, make sure you do some research online for workout programs that you can do and dont forget to set a goal for your weightloss bcuz u can never succeed unless you kno what your goal is mak sure it is realistic tho. also drop the sodas and sweet drinks for drinks like water or iced tea(unsweetened)
good luck with this and make sure to

weight lifting/training is the fastest way to gain muscle and lose pounds. Drink lots of water and eat a protein rich diet. Good luck.

Eat lots of whole grains, legumes (beans/soy), and vegetables and fruits, some raw.

Do not eat meat or anything made with sugar or white flour.

Exercise 3-5 days a week for at least 45 minutes.

Your weight sounds fine.
