I am Blasian (Black and Japanese). Everytime I tell people that it is like I am being challeneged by others: "is you mom full Asian?", "Can you speak Japanese?", "You don't look Asian at all". It gets very annoying with all the comments I get. I have gotten to the point I dont mention it. I am also treated like I am lying about my nationality-which is an insult.
Is there something offensive about being both Asian and Black? Why is the world trying to disprove it? Does anyone feel like me?

I am not trying to be conceited I am just asking for some honest opinions.
I dont think that being Blasian is "all that" and I am not complaining. I am just asking if there is a stigma to being mixed race.

Im black and filipino. First off theres NOTHING wrong with it. second the world is not trying to disapprove it. There are just some people in the world who are ignorant and choose to discriminate either way. You should be proud of your heritage!
I get those questions often too, just answer them with pride in what you are. If youre happy with yourself, why should it matter what they think?

Being black is not a curse. Being blasian is not a curse either. People just want to make it seem so bad and look like a curse because they secretly want our attributes. Personally Blasians are really best of the both worlds because they are the result of two very interesting cultures. (POPULAR CULTURES) Asian culture is very very interesting. When you look back into African/African American history it is also very very interesting. I doubt the person who said that was black themselves. People talk about how black people aren't this and that but they still want to check out our culture. Who are they trying to kid?

No, i'm half korean and half native american. I always get: "Like are you navajo?" "Can you speak Korean?" Etc. It's just people being dumb and naive. It's not intended to be offensive in most cases.
Alot of people don't beleive i'm half native american-they say: "Eh-heh, dood, there are still indians around..?"
They're just naive.

People can be so insensitive and rude. I think you are what you are and whatever your ethnicity, that's fine.
You don't have to prove anything to anyone about your genealogy.
