Honestly I think teachers should. Athletes AND ACTORS ,besides entertainment, do not do anything directly for humanity. (What they do for charitys is because of their wealth, so give that money to someone who actually deserves it and they would give to charity too. ) In your arguement for the Athlete having to be really really good , so does a doctor, and he is more educated, and again, you have to be really really good to teach the people who are becoming doctors. Without teachers none of us would be making any serious money.
I am not a teacher , nor do I want to be. But It just baffles me to know that they are on the lower end of the spectrum. Teachers are everything, everyone has known a teacher, everyone remembers their teachers even into adulthood because everyone has been touched by a teacher (mentally and emotionally)!

Both "deserve" it. If Brad Pitt's movie makes $300 million, he deserves his $25 million for the picture. I think the pay has gotten crazy, but as long as consumers keep paying the price to go to movies and sporting events, they deserve it. Physically its much harder to become an elite athlete...but there are a lot of waiters & waitresses in LA who were the best looking and most talented person in their home town.

I do think that athletes should be the ones if I had to decide. Athletes do have to work much harder for their fame.
Although any one person getting millions of dollars for going "I like THIS shoe." is ridiculous imo.

Of the two, definately athletes, actors do have to memorize a lot of lines, and some of them do their own stunts, but then look at how horrible they treat their fans.

I tend to agree, but that's probably because we're sports fans.
I'm sure entertainment types will argue that acting is a "craft" that takes endless practice. I think that's a load of garbage, but they'd make the argument.
Athletes work harder, in my opinion, but I understand why both are so well-paid. If we support their industries by shelling out our money, there's no reason they shouldn't both get paid well.

Our boys in iraq should earn that much. My uncle is in the army and he makes like 45 thousand a year.
