Reasons:
1. Illegal wire taping
2. illegal detainment of US citizens without proper and timely due process.
3. lying for the lead up to the war.

I am sure that we can think of many other things, but the reasons listed are my concerns.

The MOVEMENTS TO IMPEACH SEEM TO FALL SHORT OF GOALS:
1. Dennis Kucinnich introduced articles and it was ignored.
2. John Conyors, Barbara Boxer, Republican Chuck Hagel explored these issues publically.
3. Seven states considered resolutions and Vermont passed a resolution but all have fallen short of gaining serious national attention.

Zogby poll says that 53% of Americans will support impeachment. (This includes dems and conservs).

Now that it is election time Bush's own party has parted ways with him b/c he hasn't given them a good record to run on!

(( This president seems to be above the law and above criticism!))

QUESTION TO YOU??
When are we going to be about the business of doing this and stop giving this lip service???

Nothing you posted was either true or a crime. Try harder next time. If a crime HAD been committed he would have been impeached. Unlike Clinton he didn't have 900 FBI files to use as leverage. If he HAD done something impeachable, the REPUBLICANS would have voted to impeach him. Unlike the Democrats who voted for political gain rather than the law of the land when they voted against impeaching Clinton.

The House of Representatives only needs to have a simple majority in order to impeach. The Democrats have that majority but they have apparently decided not to impeach.

Although it is highly unlikely that he would be convicted and removed from office by the Senate, the Democrats could still impeach and embarrass Bush just like the Republicans did to Clinton. I don’t think that taking the high road in these situations is to the Democrats’ benefit.

Unfortunately the House of reps have to vote to impeach with a two thirds majority. The Dems do not have that kind of Majority like the Repubs did in the 90's. Also since he will be leaving office any way the Dems in congress don't necessarily believe the cost to the American taxpayer is justified. The Republicans spent over 60 million in taxpayer dollars to prove that two consenting adults had sex.

Sorry, but, it will never happen the Republican stronghold will choke out any move made by the Democratic party.

This coming from a Republican who is pissed at the immigration status and bill introduced.

But also, where is your references to what you make claim to in the aforementioned, or can WE all chalk this up as lip service too.

Have a great day and be blessed!

Today is a good day to start the proceedings, but to just impeach the chimp is not broad enough. The impeachment must include Cheney as well or we will have worse that what we presently have!

We aren't. The last president we impeached was Bill "BJ" Clinton. Remember? Yep it was Slick "Whatever the meaning of is is" Willie Clinton. Yep, a Democrat. Yep, the admitted draft dodger. The man who found new ways to occupy himself in the Oval Office. The president who pardoned 396 people, including Mark Rich on his last day in office. The same president who fired ALL 96 federal prosecutors. Yessir, this was only the second president to have been impeached in the history of our country. Bill Clinton.

#3 is not grounds for impeachment, because it's not illegal.

#1 and #2 are illegal, and easily provable.

The reason is purely political. The Senate will never vote 2/3 to impeach, regardless of what evidence is being presented.

we aren't . we are going to have to live with the jerk untill someone worth while gets elected. The people investigating him are going to get him alot harder that just impeachment. War crimes, illegal spy programs, lying to the people of the U.S. about more than just reasons to start the war, arresting people on the basis of only race, the list goes on, and on, and on. besides that, if he gets impeached, we won't get to laugh at him choking on pretzles when hes drunk, or run into cars on his bike, orstumble on his toung and his ouwn two feet everytime he turns aroundits about the only thing worth laughing at in the news anymore.

Go Ahead and whine about impeaching Bush if you want. Whether Democrats could be successful impeaching Bush or not he is still going to serve the rest of his term.

GWB is pure evil and his time in Office to end, can't come soon enough.

He's done more harm than good for this Country and it's ppl.

He's po'ed countless Countries, and that too has hurt the ppl of this Country.

He's shown he thinks what he says is Gospel, yet hasn't have a decent bone in his body.

He avoided going overseas thanks to his daddy and his buddies in high places. Yet GWB can send our young men and women overseas to die for his personal agenda.

It's going to take many years/generations/etc., to get our Country back on the road to recovery.

Btw...Great Post!!!

Your comments/remarks are right on the money.
