I just notice that I really do take them off
soon as I get home and my best friend leaves hers on
for a while....smile!

Shoes are off in my house as before we even open the door. we take our shoes off on the front porch or in the garage. That goes for anyone who comes over to visit. I have a strict rule that shoes do not come into the house.

I change shoes as soon as I get in the door. First thing that actually comes off is my BRA!! Hate those things but they become more necessary the older you get. Boo-hoo.
Wow...just read everyone else's answers!! There are an awful lot of "shoe rules" out there. I can't handle it.

Soundlady, I am exactly like you. I have to take them off immediately. I'm so used to being in my socks that it feels weird if I leave my shoes on past the door! Shoes off!

If I'm going to be home for a while I'll put on my slippers. If I'm going to be going back out, I leave my shoes on. Either way, I can't stand walking around bare-footed or just in socks. I have to have shoes or slippers on all the time!

Almost as soon as I get in, then again I work 12 hour shifts so have been in them by at least 13 when I get home so want them off ASAP

My grandma always told me it was a respect thing to take off your shoes in others homes. So I always take off my shoes- even in my home- it's habit.
even if I'm just running in and out- shoes off!
I'd really appreciate it if people would take off their shoes as well but no one does..and it really angers me. My carpets are very light...almost white so they stain extremely easily.
I've even put ALL my shoes at the front entry to try to give people the hint to TAKE OFF SHOES but nooo they just comment on how many shoes I have or how nice they are...

Yeah, I CAN'T stand wearing my shoes in my apartment, so I take them off right at the door.

im not a big fan of shoes so they r off as soon as i get in the door-but i cant go barefoot outside cuz it jus grosses me out
