You hit it in the head. The butt-heads in Washington need to keep their noses out of it. The liberal media and all of this Political correctness garbage don't help either.

Absolutely - 100%.
It's a WAR, not a damned game.
Our soldiers are being killed while congress and the administration quibble over details and the country becomes further divided.
Forget global warming, abortion, gay marriage, impeachment, the upcoming election, illegal immigration, Paris Hilton and every thing else - solve the concerns we have with this war - either get the hell out and bring our troops home or step the hell back out of the way and give the generals in the field everything they need to defeat these dirt bags!
Anything else is just plain insanity - it's hard to tell anymore if our objective is to win this war or just see how long the American people will put up with this half hearted effort while our soldiers are being killed.

Not at all.
We can put more troops in -- flooding the country and stopping all violence by sheer force of numbers.
We can keep troops in the range it's been for 5 years -- and continue making little or no progress.
We can pull most of our troops out, leaving a small contingent as guards, advisers and trainers -- but leaving the bulk of the combat activities to Iraqi forces. That's what most people are currently suggesting.
Or we can pull out entirely and not even leave instructors or advisers. Which means washing our hands of the entire situation.
It's not all-or-nothing -- there are many alternatives.

I don't agree with having troops out there any longer; but this mess has already been started. What's the U.S gonna do, get out and wash it's hands? The right thing to do is to help the country further stabilize it's government, and get the hell out. There's enough foreign damage in that country.

Yes, but it's too late to go all in. If we had a Democrat in office like Truman in WWII, we would have nuked the Middle East on September 12, 2001.

Ask all the people who don't support the draft but want to stay in Iraq.

no, the world is not so simple.
people of low intelligence need to see things in black and white.
but that way of thinking seldom works.
