Michael Irvine being carted off the field with a neck injury, ending his career, while Philly fans cheered made me sick.

Also last year when Trent Green was basically head hunted and the guy who hit him wasn't even fined let alone flagged on the play.

Theismann is a classic

It has to be Theismann, with the bone poking out.

A close second is the Tim Krumrie injury (Bengals) in Super Bowl 23 versus San Francisco. He annihilated his tibia and fibula.

The NFL has copyrights tothe video, so it's been pulled off of You Tube and other sites. Gnarly.

Most definitely the Theismann injury. That was just nasty. Other than that one, Dennis Byrd being paralyzed during the Chiefs-Jets game comes to mind.

I wonder if you broke a pencil behind Joe T's head if he'd jump?

That was brutal.

The most horrifying injury I ever saw though, was what happened to Jason Kendall on the 4th of July for the Pirates in 1999.

Watch that and try and disagree!

Lions linebacker Reggie Brown in 1997. The guy could have ended in a wheelchair for the rest of his life, miracleously it did not happen.

Ravens' Musa Smith about 3 years ago, that was an exposed leg fracture.

Monday night game around 1994. Frisco and Raiders. Ken Nortons hit on Napoleon Mccallum. Foot stayed planted in the ground, every other part went down. Nasty.

Joe Theisman's ankle break was gruesome . . . I liked him as a player, but as a broadcaster he is horrible. He really stabs all the players in the back. He is pretty quick to point out mistakes and harp on them over and over . . .

Still feel sorry for him even though I can't stand him.
