ok. i'm trying to buy an old camaro, one that is running, most likey one from 1969-77 but i heard that during those years, they were made cheaply and needed ALOT of repair. is this true?

if indeed you find a camaro in these years, that is or isnt running youll still pay a pretty penny if the body is in good shape.
parts for older camaros are FAIR in price and remember old cars are fun and easy to work on

After 30 years or more any car is going to need allot of repair unless it has been rebuilt and then is going to cost allot of money, in fact with the market on old muscle cars being as it is you will pay a good amount for wreck, but if you have the time and money it will pay off

really the only thing you need to do too old camaro's is to fix the door hinges cause they sag and the interior and paint with a good motor and tranny one heck of a deal! i just bought a 79' berlinetta for 1,200 with a new motor and tranny all it needs is seat covers and paint, some dings here and there but hey where can you go anymore and have an head turner!

not really, they are about as good as the rest of the cars of that time.
