Yes, you can. It's a bad idea and not good for the fish, but you can do it. To keep it more than a few days in a 1 gallon bowl, you will need to change all of the water every other day and be very, very careful to never overfeed at all.
Far better to get a 2.5 gallon tank with a filter and heater in the long run.

No! No fish should be subjected to a fish bowl. The small confines and the lack of heater and filter cause huge stress on the fish. Get a 5 gallon tank (with a heater and filter) and you can have about 6 Guppies in it. In a bowl, the Guppy won't last more than a month. Also, in a bowl, the water would need to be changed almost every other day.

Well, as the definition of "can" means, "being able," then, yes, you CAN put a fish in a bowl, unless your arms are broken. SHOULD you put a fish in a bowl? Then that's a different answer and that answer would be no. Bowls should be outlawed. They are a horrible way to live for a fish. They are the equivalent of making you live your life in a closet and having to stick your nose under the bottom of the door to get air. Invest just a little bit of money and get at least a 2.5 gallon aquarium with a filter and a heater, which are also a must for tropical fish.

Once again, I agree with Magicman. It can be done. But I'll use one of my favorite analogies. You can put a German Shepherd puppy in a closet, give it food, train it to use the bathroom in a litterbox, and never let it out. Is it cruel to do this? Of course it is. Will the dog live a long and normal life? No. The same goes for fish. You can pull it off if you are very careful and put alot of work into it. Just because you can do it doesn't mean that you should do it. Reserve the bowl for bettas.

No, Guppies are active swimmers and require lots of swimming space, 10 gal minimum, and he would be starved of oxygen in a bowl,
Good luck

I suppose you could, but a small tank would be better.
