When it comes to increasing your willpower to do something, take a look at the immediate and long term rewards. Keep yourself in tune with the specifics of the area that you consider yourself weak at . Use your on line sources to prompt you the specifics that you need addressed. You can write a weekly goal, attach it to the fridge, or any place that you have to look at everyday. Just for the remind yourself by checking one accomplishment for that day, is one step closer than you were before.

I have almost zero willpower. But if I want to do/stop doing something badly enough, I think about the consequences.
E.g. If I buy this DVD, am I going to be short of money at the end of the week?
When I was younger, my sister needed a lung transplant. Every time I had the notion to take up smoking, I would ask myself, "What if they decide they need to take one of my lungs for her, and I've damaged it". Stopped me every time.
So consequences can be a good motivator.

I may not be of any help. I have a rebellious and stubborn spirit so I am able to achieve when I am told it can't be done in my own case. In other words, willpower in me is sometimes enhanced by others opinions. Do I consider myself strong? When I have to be, yes.

i know i am strong i overcome adversities most people will never face, molestation, physical abuse, a bipolar mother who also abused alchol and was suicidal, and most of my family passing. I am now a happy person with a child, a husband and buying my first home.
I overcame my woes and hardships with the help of my wonderful husband and not dwelling but always looking ahead and finding something to dream about. I would make small goals and praise myself when i reached them and not dwell on my stumbles.
I hope this helps.

I consider myself to be motivated towards goals, and self-disciplined to towards success. My will power comes from within, as I enjoy accomplishing what I've begun.
You can motivate yourself, be thinking creatively, and thinking positive. Focus on what you are trying to achieve and stay with it. Take time to discover your abilities, and use them to enhance your strong points. Hope that helps. Good luck!

it can be very very hard if your not naturally strongwilled. i am naturally quite strongwilled but since my last relationship failed ive lost most of my confidince and with it my willpower......to re/gain willpower, you mostly need confidince or arrogance. either will suffice, but i suggest confidience as it is more flexible in some ways. whatevermakes you confident, even about somerthing unrelated to being strong, do it, and it will give you a stronger will.

It is all mental...I don't know how you do it. I smoked for years...I still like cigarettes and will still smoke every now and then. But I do not have to have one. I just quit. Cold Turkey for like 3 weeks...after that, its was no big deal. Thats just with smoking however, I do not know in what context you were referring....
