You need to eat more to balance off the amount you exercise. You have high metabolism, but perhaps you also over exercise. Over exercising can cause to loss of muscle and water in terms of body weight. Drink more water, and maybe you need to change your protein. Try Nitrotech or Cellmass, the Mass gainer types. Mass gainers increases your size and weight. Normal protein increases lean muscles only. My condition is the same as yours and it works for me. Do keep up the healthy diet of yours too. Oh by the way, take in lots of milk too, a lot of people dont know is that calcium plays an important role in assisting protein absorbtion. So the more protein you can absorb the better you can increase in muscle weight.

You have a high metabolism. Have you tried fasting to through your metabolism off? When I was 18, I was losing weight even though I ate more than any guy I knew. I got down to 83 lb. I ate everything fattening, including high protein supplements. The doctor told me that I had a high metabolism. But lifting weights is what helped me. The only other thing I could think of is to try to through your metabolism off track. Maybe treat yourself to something your body's not used to. Had a banana split lately?

Anytime you take in fewer calories than you burn, you're not going to gain weight.

I really hate to see someone healthy try to put on weight for football, but if you want to gain weight, you need to focus in on the fat. Lots of butter on your bread, lots of fried foods, donuts, cookies. Don't take too many protein bars--2 a day is the max. Good beef--like T-bones and porterhouses and roast all contain a higher concentration of fat. Now, when you are done with football, and need to slim back down, you know just what to do--the opposite of what I just told you. P.S. This is NOT a healthy diet.

You need to increase the amount of time you are lifting weights to build more muscle. Seek out a good strength training coach.

Metabolism my friend. As you get older, your metabolism will slow down and you will find it easy to gain weight. Your active lifestyle will help your metabolism to be faster as well.

If it doesn't, try getting married. You'll gain about 20 lbs in no time. :)
