I bought a refurbished XBox 360 from an eBay seller. I sent it back to the seller for repairs/replacement. If this next XBox 360 fails, is it possible for me to send it to Microsoft for a repair/replacement? I'm concerned because I'm obviously not the original owner of this console, and it wasn't bought from a regular retailer like EB or Gamestop.

To the first two that have answered, I've looked at other questions like this and that is not what other people are saying. Apparently, Microsoft will take new or refurbed 360's that have the Ring of Death and replace them. It doesn't matter who or where you buy them from, be it Gamestop or some guy named Bob on eBay. If it gets repaired by the seller, the warranty may be voided though. That part is right. But my 360 hasn't reached the seller yet, so I can request that he send me another refurb instead of trying to repair it.

not if it is out of warranty. also if the xbox has been opened and repaired by the seller the WARRANTY IS VOIDED. so make sure the unit has never been opened but since you said it is a refurbished one i doubt microsoft will honor the warranty... good luck

Of course not!
Microsoft is NOT not responsible for what you buy on E-bay or anywhere else. You can try to find someone locally to repair it for you.
