Obama has said that USA should negociate and talk with renegade countries like Cuba, Iran and North Korea. In my view, despite not been a follower of him, he sounded quite realistic. How long USA will continue showing the cold shoulder to these countries with goverments we don't like? Didn't we do the same with China and now we have an embassy there? What do you think?

Just meet with Hugo Chavez (!?!) that dude is cuckoo.. what would you gain by doing that?... ever?... meet with Iran.. what is there to gain by that.. Iran doesn't want to be invaded for oil... plain and simple... and they want to set the market too... you're not gonna coax them into whatever... North Korean ok.. maybe that one cause that country is poor as they come...

Hilary leaves the talking option open and says its up to discression ... which shows that she knows this game and Barrack Obama clearly does not.

You do not ever EVER in an election (especially this early) write out blank checks to broad questions... that is completely moronic... it can and most likely will come back on you... you must be as specific as possible, you will need ALL the loopholes you can get to get out of the traps to come. There are people on all sides watching this thing with a microscope and they catch everything.. and they will bust you... and it is on tape and everyone will see it.

IT SEEMS VERY OBVIOUS OBAMA FORGOT THAT G W BUSH IS LAME DUCK AND HE CANNOT RUN!!!!!!!!!
who cares, EVERYBODY is gonna break from what BUSH is DOING, he isn't gonna be PRESIDENT anymore! BARRACK YOU ARE RUNNING AGAINST HILARY AND THEN NOT BUSH!

Nixon went to China in the 70s.. it was a different time, we were in the cold war then... in the Cuban Missile crisis we talked to Cuba... and it is diplomatic and not necessary (and maybe even not safe at all ) to MEET with anyone at any time...

Obama got schooled... and its WAY too early to be starting this thing yet.

I like his idea. Well there are a lot of people in Florida who lobby to not have relations with Cuba. I think it would be good to get rid of the lobbies and then we could get along with others.

The fact that we punish the people of Cuba with our embargo just because we hate their leader says it all.

Aren't we supposed to be on the side of oppressed people?

The embargo only hurts them...

But that's the typical American position: half thought out and 100% miguided.

I think that he did very well. We should not rule out speaking to these countries. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
