We are trying to get pregnant. I started on June 21st and it is now July 24 but I am still getting cramps since last week. Feels like pms cramps. Can someone tell me the different feeling of pms, ovulation, implantation and gas cramps? My period have been crazy since I got off my pill so I don't know if I am pregnant or my period is just off.

Ovulation type pain is pain that occurs about two weeks before the period actually starts and when this pain occurs it can feel real sharp. What I have noticed when I get this type of pain is the pain will feel really sharp like as if someone is sticking the area with a needle, and sometimes if real bad it can feel like a knife piercing the area.

PMS type cramping will often feel more like similar to what a labor pain might feel like where there can be pain in the lower back as well as from the uterus contracting.

Gas pains can also feel sharp but with them the sharpness may last for a few minutes and go away. Also, with gas pain sometimes it can go higher up and hurt in such a way that it can make it hard to breathe.

On implantation pain, I've heard from friends that sometimes it can be very similar to a period, and she may notice a bit of light bleeding.

Because you are now coming off the pill it can take a few months for the periods to get back to normal because the body is trying to rid itself of the left over medication.

I would recommend getting in touch with your doctor as well to see what they say.

One happens in midcycle, the other happens during your period.
