There sure is, someone showed me once.

You tuck one corner into the other at each end, which leaves a long flat piece that can be folded over neatly.

It's a little more bother but it saves heaps of room in the cupboard.

I start with a corner and place my hand in that corner now go to the next corner and place pocket of the corner onto the first corner over your hand do 3 and 4 the same way now lay down on flat surface and straighten up middle of sheet it should fold neatly ... I have always use this way

I get the corners then fold them up with the gather inside. Then the top part of the sheet (the only bit you really see) stays nice and flat.

Yes I get nasty if others fold my washing especially sheets and towels if they are not done right. Many years ago I saw Martha Stewart folding fitted sheets and they turn out like a perfect square.
