Im 17 and last week i went to the doctors to get antibiotics to get rid of a sinus infection. Now i have a yeast infection cuz antibiotics causes them. i started my period yesterday. Usually i just use monistat. Will that work even if im on my period?

There are pills your doctor can give you that will cure a yeast infection. That will be much easier than using creams. My doctor says the creams will still work during your period, but its going to be VERY messy. I would just call your dr and see if they'll prescribe diflucan over the phone. I used it once and it cures it within 24 hours, much better than the creams!

There are medications that can be taken orally for a yeast infection.
Check with your Dr. about meds that aren't used vaginally.

It will still work, I would just recommend not using a tampon once you have inserted the cream though. I have chronic ones, so I have dealt with monistat during my cycle before. It still works.

Call the dr. that gave you the antibiotics or your gyno tell them the situation they can call you in a script for diflican (pill).

yes, it will work even on your period, it's just messier, and you have to use a napkin instead of a tampon.
