If you want a book with a smidge of erotic in it read Jackie Collins Chances series. Those are very good books and definitely keep you into it.
If you want to read books that hint to the erotic side but don't go too far in depth (but are still excellent reads) try Janet Evonavich's Stephanie Plum series (One for the money... etc).
Both series are excellent reads. The chances series has quite a bit of drama in it, but isn't mushy, it has quite a few erotic parts. The Stephanie Plum series are hilarious, they could be very dramatic if they were so funny, and hint to the erotic side.
These are the only ones that came to the top of my head right away. Enjoy.

Gone with the Wind
The Notebook
Soloman and Lord (series) - Paul Levine (Personal favourite)
I'd tell you to read Twilight because it's really unique and AMAZING, but there's no making love in it so you might not like it.
Confessions of a Shopoholic (ALL OF THEM), and as well Can you keep a secret? and Undomestic Goddess which are both written by the same author.
If you're a teen, Gossip girl, or A-List.

Well, personally, I like romance-mystery books. Where someone dies, say, and the police detective comes to question the young, attractive, suspect. Then, the police find out that she is not the one who committed the murder, but by then she and the police detective fell in love and made love. Those aren't mushy really, and have something more to read about than the love, but also have scenes of making love.

JANE EYRE by Charlotte Bronte....so good. its sort of boring in the beginning but once you get past that its all twists and turns from there on. It'll blow your mind and you wont be able to put it down. When i was reading the book i would go " NO WAY!" really loud and all the people around me would be like...what'd you just read??? and get all interested and stuff. read it...tis good.
