This expression is the difference of two squares (DOTS). So to factor a DOTS you start with two parenthises. () () In the beginning of each you put the sq rt of the first term. (5x ) (5x) Then at the end of each you put the sq rt for the second term. (5x 6)(5x 6) Lastly, you put an addition sign in one of the parenthises and a subtraction sign in the other, getting the answer of (5x+6)(5x-6).
