Pregnant or not?

Question

Im 18 going to be 19 and I've been in a steady relationship for two years. I will graduate next year from college and my family really cares for my boyfriend. We have sex all the time sometimes with protection sometimes without. Im about a week late, but my period does this at times. Lately I've noticed a steady weight gain, hot flashes, exhaustion and I'm really moody. Plus I cant get enough chicken nuggets or hot cheetos...which I harldy ever crave because I hate McDonalds and I don't really lovev spicy foods. I'm lookin for advice from mothers...Did you experience this when you were pregnant? Do you think I could be pregnant, or do you think it's a case of PMS?

All I ask is that whoever is gping to leave a comment...don' treat me like I'm dumb or leave smart remarks like the gentlemen who posted the first comment. It's not appreciated.

To the question if I went to college at 15...no I didn't. It doesn't really matter when or where I am going to college. I am going and thats all that matters.

Sometimes people have nothing better to do, so they leave stupid comments. I myself know where you are coming from. I am 21, and have been with my b.f for 6years and 10months. And we also sometimes use protection, and sometimes we dont. I have read alot that if you are pregnant, pregnancy test do not always pick it up right away. So I would say to wait about 1 more week to take a test. But even if it comes out negative, do not assume that ur not pregnant. Treat yourself like if you are pregnant, until you know for sure. According to the march of dimes, all women who are sexually active should take a multi-vitamin, just in case. Cause you really never know when you will get pregnant. Nothing in life is 100%. Maybe it is PMS, maybe you are pregnant, I would suggest to maybe schedule an appointment next week with your doctor, cause really.. the only way to be about 90% sure.. (I say 90 cause doctors are not always right) Is to go see a doctor. Take care, and let me know what happens :)

If your period is only a week late, then you would not be experiencing any symptoms of pregnancy yet. These don't come until the end of the first trimester. All of the symptoms that you are having are also PMS symptoms. If your period is a week late, you should be able to get an accurate result on a pregnancy test. I suggest getting one.

i would say that you have several signs of pregnancy, yes. i will suggest that you go to your doctor to get a blood test done and find out that way because guessing will only irritate you more....i have had several of those signs, but i know that i'm 4 and a half months pregnant with twins, so i know that it's normal. if you go to the doc and get a test done and you're NOT pregnant, at least your doc can then tell you what's going on otherwise and help fix the problem. otherwise, if you're pregnant, i wish you the best of luck and CONGRATS!

Obviously you could be pregnant. But you might not be. You could get a test to find out. And if you don't want to be pregnant (it is not at all evident that this is the case) use a condom when you have sex.
