p.s if i decide that cali is too expensive and i go to new york instead, does anyone know of any legitimate acting agencies in the ct, ny area??

Well,i am from Ct too!I would like to persue the same dream!And i planned to move to cali when i got 18!Well just save up so you can have the money to move there

You're a stones throw away from the second best place to persue acting. NY obviously. Don't move across the country unless you have a reason to. You are very unlikely to make it anyway. Stay home. BTW NY is a much better place to hone your craft.

Maybe I could be your sidekick, haha. I'm planning on doing acting on the side when I go to college. I live in Los Angeles, just take some acting classes in your area so when you come here you can already have a couple experiences and be trained a bit.

Ok. There are plenty of things you need to do first: get all the experience acting that you can. Go on line to You Must Act and get the cd and study it. Get a copy of Brian O'Neil's book. Acting as a Business and read it. Get my book, "The Tao of Acting, Mentoring for the Aspiring Actor, which will save you tons of money, work, and time. Take some acting classes before you go to California, so you already have some experience. By the way California is a very expensive state, make sure you have lot's of money.

Nix the cali idea and stay in school. Unless you want to go have sex with lots of people you hate because they promised you acting jobs that you will never get.

Why not start right here in Connecticut. There are a lot of
Indie film companies here and quite a few big productions are
coming.

first off, you need to learn how to spell right. the word is career lol. second, i have a best friend that lives out there and it costs a ton to live there. so you better have your pockets lined with gold before you go out there. lol
