On my end, any show back in the 80s that aired in the afternoon was so taboo to my mom that I never got to see until the internet came along. Specifically He-Man, She-Ra, G.I. Joe, Mask, Voltron. Yet, it wasn't because of violence, commercialism or age (I was 4 to 6 years old), her concern was more with me getting warped into thinking that people who are ugly looking and dark colored are always evil while good guys are always pretty and handsome. You know, as much as I love my mom, sometimes I feel this type of protectionism led to me having nothing in common with my classmates in school, I had to wait until college to have a friend that would stick.

I grew up in the days of Bonanza and I Dream of Jeanie, so tv was anything but offensive. I do remember wanting to see Goldfinger, but having that idea naysayed immediately - have yet to see it.

I also grow up as undead monkey when nothing was offensive and everything thing was censored. It was a big deal when "Laugh In " hit the air.Compard to today that was nothing!
