If you were to charge a flat percent tax to all people, wealthy people would still be paying more taxes then less wealthy people.

Doesn't that punish hard working billionaires like Paris Hilton? Isn't taxing rich people more because they have more money a bad thing?

Isn't that still a redistribution of wealth since, most of the tax money is still coming from the have mores then the have less?

Why is my flat fee tax not a better solution?

No. It's a much fairer way to tax. It ends any and all loopholes and the end result is what you libs want. The wealthier will be paying more. :)

I actually wouldn't mind a flat fee tax. I see where you are coming from, but in the Communist Manifesto, Marx and Engels, advocated a progressive income tax. This is where a higher percentage is taxed on the rich well the percentage is lower for middle class and probably nothing for the poor.

A flatter tax is fairer because rich are not being punished as much as a progressive income tax.

Not at all.

Communism is community ownership of all property. Taxes are not inherently communist or socialist -- they are just a way for people to fund whatever govt programs their elected leaders enact.

A flat tax almost always results in less payments at most tax brackets, because the reduced overhead is almost always more than the loss in revenue from lower tax rates. So the net result is more money in the coffers to pay for things, but less money coming out of people's pockets -- doing away with bureaucratic waste is never something to underrate.

Do away with the income tax all together. Tax goods. Sales tax lets people decide how much tax they pay when the make purchases. States make it work, why not the federal government?

All taxes are Socialist.
But we must have some taxes to pay for Government Expenses, and to pay for Democrats Welfare Checks.
If Healthy young Democrats would get jobs, the rest of us could pay less taxes.
But that will never happen.

I know from your earlier answers that you know better than this--the only way to properly measure this is on a percentage basis.
