What a good question. It made me do some research because I didn't have a clue. Anyway, I live in South Georgia (at the Georgia/Florida line) and we've got about 46,000 head down here. (I've been thinking it's getting a little too crowded!!)

i thought it was gonna be like 6 million, but here it is.....
As of the 2006 U.S. Census estimate, the city had a population just under 1.3 million. As of 2006, the eight-county metropolitan area has a population of just under 2 million and is the ~~29th-largest~~ metropolitan area in the USA.
