I dont know anything about homecoming traditions or any story angles around this festivity ..Im in chanrge of the homecoming issue and I really have 0 ideas....any help will be greatly appreciated

You'll want stories of interest to the alumni coming back. They like to see the stuff that's been bought with their donations, profiles of the people who will be speaking or getting awards during homecoming, updates on the football team if there's a homecoming game, stuff like that.

Homecoming throughout the years. Interview a football player from 20 years ago, 15 years ago, 10 years ago, 5 years ago and today. Ask them the same questions so people can see how the experience has changed or stayed the same.
Do the same with a student...what did you do for homecoming...same 20 years ago, 15 years ago, 10 years ago, 5 years ago and now.
