It might be. However, he needs to find a better way to deal with his stress. My wife uses this excuse when shes "stressed out b/c of the kids."
I have talked w/ her about the fact that I have stress at work and I attempt (as much as possible) to leave my stress at work for her sake and the sake of our kids. The same holds true for her. She cannot expect that because she is stressed by the kids, that I am the emotional target of her venting.
That's not love.
he either needs to find better ways to cope, or re-examine if his job is REALLY worth the stress. Could he find another job that he would enjoy, afford him good pay, and be less stressful? If so, he needs to consider it.
Miserable because of work is NO way to go through life. Neither is having your personal relationships in turmiol because of your work situation.
I'd rather make less money, have to budget more and be happy. People tend to chase the extra car, bigger house, better vacations, and jeopardize their relationships because of it.
Know its OK to not keep up with the Jone's, especially if your miserable doing it. The Jone's might seem to have it all, but will likely end up divorced. You have to keep your priorities straight.
If your fiance can not do this - I would consider placing the wedding on hold until you two know where you stand on the issue.

Sad to say it does occasionally happen. As a man, sometimes when I have a bad day and need to take out some frustration, I may occasionally take some of it out on my wife. I think the reason for this is because I know she loves me and the relationship with her is SECURE and that she is my "sounding board," so to speak. I also offer to be her "sounding board" if needed. We just remember at the end of the day, that we love each other and don't go to bed witout the other knowing it.

Yes, people deal with stress in different ways. However, that does not mean you should put up with it. Now that he has recognized the problem, needs to resolve it.
