Is my girlfriend a psychopath?

Question

The other day I had an interview and my car is in the shop, we live together mind you.. Well she is running a bit late all I had to do is print my resume, takes 3 seconds. she says im late and just leaves, so I miss the interview.

Constantly it seems she does things like this and does not even bat an eye. It is almost like she does not have a conscience. She meets with her ex's, does as she pleases. Ya it's possible she just doesnt care about me, but I think it is far deeper then that. I would not do that to someone I did not like let alone a boyfriend.

Also when we argue she threatens to call the police and tell them I raped her, just to get me to back down.

Thoughts?

Adding. Most people have this thing in the back of their conscience that tell them what is right and what is wrong. It seems she is missing this component. Is it safe to say she is the casebook definition of a psychopath? It is almost like a serial killer. Normal people wonder how someone could do such a thing, but it's possible those people are just void of any kind of conscience.

sounds to me like an anti social personality disorder however i am only hearing one side and it could be biased but if i was going off what i read hear it could also be she just lacks empathy. If she was not brought up in an enviorment to learn it she wouldn't know it. People learn what there around the most. If you know anything about her background that is usually a clue if this is just a consiquence of that or something deeper.

Have yu ever watched "bones" on TNT. The main character Temperance Brennan, is somewhat similar to yur girlfriend. She has a hard time dealing with emotions and she doesn't know how to show sympathy because she has been hurt all her life and she is afraid of being vulnerable. She too was in foster care most of her life. To me, yur girlfriend is NOT a psychopath. She simply has had a hard life and has her own way of expressing herself. She can be loved and she can love. All she needs is someone who is patient and understanding and open minded. Btw, here's the definition of psychopath; person having a disorder marked by amoral or antisocial behavior.

I disagree with those who are "diagnosing" your girlfriend as a psychopath. Aside from the fact that no one here is qualified to make such a diagnosis, there is another point that most seem to be missing: that there are other mental illnesses that also have a lack of empathy as one of their primary symptoms. It does sound like your girlfriend lacks empathy. However, we really don't have enough details to tell you whether she's suffering from a particular mental illness.

All of that aside, you should definitely get out of that relationship. Your girlfriend's behavior is abusive, and if you stay in the relationship, you will be saying yes to further abuse.

Get rid of her NOW!!!!! Before you don't do anything and she calls the cops to say you raped her anyway! No self-respecting female in any mind, much less her RIGHT mind would ever threaten to yell rape unless it was AN ACTUAL RAPE!!!!! Please, do yourself a huge favor and run as far and as fast as you can before any real damage to you or her has occurred!
It doesn't sound like she cares for you or any of your needs at all, but even if she does, she obviously doesn't give a crap about letting YOU in on that! Don't look to her to treat you the way you know you should be treated. I wasn't raised to treat others like that either, whether they are someone I liked or disliked, but the people in the world who are like that weren't raised like we were, OBVIOUSLY!
Seriously, the struggle to save yourself is shorter and more rewarding than the struggle to stay with a female like THAT! Good Luck!

Well, only a qualified person would be able to say for sure whether she's a psychopath, but going by what you've said, I have to say that I wonder the same thing. After all, psychopaths are by nature lacking a conscience. Dump her before she causes you any more trouble!

leave that crazy b*#@h! She is playing you buddy. Just pack up your stuff one day when she is not there and leave. If she calls the cops and says that you tried to rape her, request for her to do a rape kit at the hospital. If you are a good person then I am sure that you will have someone who can help you out of the situation. I doubt very seriously that she will even call the cops.

The more important question is why you tolerate this. Obviously you have self-esteem issues if you're still with her. Most reasonable people would've gotten away from her long ago.

Also, re: your job interview -- it's your fault for waiting til the last second to print your resume. Why not do it the night before? If it's so important, you should've been prepared. Drop her immediately. She doesn't even like you. She's using you for something, and it doesn't even matter what it is. Toss her out on the street now. If you share an apartment move out. It's not right to hit women, so find some girl to beat the crap out of her and move on. Okay, scratch the last part, but definitely BREAK UP NOW!

Sounds to be like she is very selfish...and without regard for you or your feelings,it seems she is closing you out of her world let alone her life with you..Threats of rape charges are absurd and childish on her part,without any physical evidence of rape she has no case to rely on...In my opinion its time to have a mature conversation with each other,or call it quits before it gets even more complex than it is now....good luck!

yes you re girlfriend is a psychopath ! let me guess here shes probably good looking and dynamite between the sheets ! otherwise why in the hell would you stay with someone who treats you so poorly? some advice ? strap on a set kick that ***** to the curb before you end up before a judge defending yourself for a crime you didn't commit- it happened to me it can and probably will happen to you !!!
