Sailing from Miami to Panama first, then to Costa Rica - what would you estimate the number of days to be on a 35' sailboat? Does anyone have a suggested 'Best Route'?

having done Miami to Panama...east across the Stream, down the Old Bahama Channel, hang a right at Cuba ( DO NOT stray into Cuban waters!) then six days across the Caribbean......the whole Caribbean piles up in the Gulf of Panama so the last two days you might see 20 k of wind and 20 foot seas on the beam... EXCITING sailing!

Off the top of my head its 1000 miles; a 35 foot boat will make good 100 miles a day so 10 days......
