OK So we have been trying to get pregnant for 7 months now, no luck. We already have one child so Im sure there is no issue involved with not being able to..........its just not happening. I have a few questions.......

1. What day(s) would be best for trying?
2. Besides 'relax', any ideas ?

I am having same problem, first one had no problems but second one is taking time. I got myself thoroughly examined, everything looks fine except follical count went down a little bit.

Use OPK test sticks, that is the only way if you want to get pregnant fast. You always ovulate 14days before your next period. YOur day#1 is July 23, then you count from there
if you have 28day cycle, it is on 14th day, for 32day cycle it is 18th day and so on, so it is always 14days before your next cycle. OPK kit should give you good clue. So you have intercourse everyother day from day#10 then everyday for 3days after testing positive on OPK.

You don't want to do everyday from day#10 since sperms need to get recharged

Good luck

How long are your cycles?

However long your cycle is, subtract 14 and that is when you most likely ovulate (of course it isn't a guarantee, but we know nothing else about you). From there, start having sex 4 days before your ovulation date, and have sex every other day for a week.

If you have a normal 28 day cycle, that would mean having sex on Day 10, 12, 14, and 16 (Day 1 is the first day of your period).

Also, after sex, stay lying down in bed for at least 30 minutes. Don't get up to wash up, give those sperm a change to make a run for it.

It totally depends on how long your cycle is. If it's the typical 28 day cycle then you probably ovulate on day 14. I would suggest getting the digital ovulation predictor kits from your local drug store. They will tell you exactly what day to have sex on. The more expensive ones can tell you a few days in advance that it's coming. Good luck! I'm ttc #1! It's frustrating!

Based on your question, you're likely to be most fertile from Friday, August 3, 2007 to Wednesday, August 8, 2007. If you were to get pregnant during that time, your due date would be Monday, April 28, 2008.

Of course, you may not conceive right away. But here's good news: 85 percent of couples due.

Good luck

The days immediately prior to ovulation and the day of ovulation.

I can't tell you what days those are. You have to look for the signs, which include a rising and softening cervix (it will go from feeling kinda like the tip of your nose to feeling like your cheek), an increase in clear and stretch cervical mucous and possibly some other signs. Every woman is different, so I can't tell you what your signs are.

The 12th-18th day of your cycle is the normal ovulation time. Remember the first day of the cycle is the first day you begin bleeding. Start counting then. You will also have some mucus discharge during ovulation.

women typically ovulate a week after their period ends. so I'd say try before that day, on that day, and even after that day. :)
