jft_24, I guess you don't know me ...I am a Red Sox fan and 7.5 games is not enough. I would prefer 14 games.

You must be an Indians fan that is worried about the Wild Card...us Red Sox fans have a nice 7.5 game cushion and I don't see the Yankees getting closer anytime soon.
Edit:
I was joking...I assumed you were a Red Sox fan....I am just saying...7.5 games is a pretty nice lead...I definitely enjoy being on this end of it and I don't really see the Yanks as breathing down our necks...now if they get to around 3.5 games back I will change my opinion but I am confident the boys will take the East and go deep into the playoffs!

I also am a sox fan and i can relate to the anxiety you feel with the yankees recent surge... While they may not be breathing down our necks, 14 games does sound a lot more inviting than 7 1/2... But i guess wats been lost in our backwards glancing is the fact that we were the first team to 60 wins this season, so yanks or not we should be feelin pretty good about where we stand.... I have told many of fellow Orioles fans this and I will tell you this as well; No matter what circumstances are that surround a ballclub, the objective during the season never changes, and that is to win the upcoming game on the schedule.
Rest assured your Red Sox are thinking about that. People like me had written off the Yankees to this point, they on the other hand know that they cannot, but they know that they'd best worry about that team in the other duggout first.

u should be happy that u are leading them by 7.5 games. Us Angels only have Seattle by like 2 games and we are sucking. so consider yourself lucky.
