men adn women can not be friends because of sexual attraction and having an emotional relationship wiht the opposite sex is different for women than men. Women get attached emotionally which leads them to be sexual. Emotional adultery and physical adultery are both wrong.

I t is not impossible for men and woman to have a friend ship without wanting more. When you encounter this type of problem let the person know your not interested and dis miss the friendship. sometimes men and woman see things in their friends that they wish they wives or husband had. sometimes people are just attracted to that person because they spouse lacks something they are looking for that's why people shouldn't get married until they are sure this is the person they want to spend the rest of their life with. And fight the temptation because what looks good to you may not not be good for you.

It's not impossible...maybe it is for you but not for me. My best friend is a man...has been my best friend since highschool. He is married (his wife doesn't feel threatened, she is a very secure independent woman) I am godmother to their oldest daughter as well as to their oldest grand daughter. Whenever I have a problem I know I can talk with him about it and he knows he can do the same with me. In fact he and his wife just got over a "rough patch". I think that as a friend he can relate to me and maybe get a better perspective on his relationship with his wife when I explain "the woman's point of view"...they made it over the rough patch, celebrated their 30th anniversary by renewing their vows and I was there with my date.

It isn't. My wife and I both have very close friends of the opposite sex with whom we have no desire for "more" as you put it. We both have friends who are more on our individual wave length than we are with one another in many areas but this does not preclude real, deep and lasting friendships with others.

I have a lot of female friends. If I wanted more than friendship from them we'd have gone there years ago. Any woman of who told me that I can't have my female friends would be in for a huge surprise.

I suppose that, if one does not trust one's spouse, it is impossible, but I do not think it is impossible. Who wants more what?
