I think basically it will clear out all the cobwebs until we elect responsive leadership. If they promise and dont deliver then we will boot them out sequentially.

I would rather have a Republican running who had a shot at the presidency than one who doesn't because of Bush's miserable tenure and 3,929 body bags shipped home.

Give me the 4,000 back and I will vote Republican!

However, the way it stands with corporate welfare before our own troops who have to sue the government to get medical treatment I will never vote Republican!

And Imagine, on issues like Exxon pulling a few million barrels of oil a month out of Iraq (gas was $1.46 when Bush was elected), treatment of our troops, mismanaging the war, cutting the VA's budget while giving needless tax cuts to the rich, you never hear a Republican say a damn thing!

If the American people dont wake up to what our current politicians are doing, and let them know how you feel, things wont ever change. The Iraq war isnt the first war that was unpopular with the American people. What makes it unpopular? Because the politicans are always fighting, and the troops have thier hands tied. If..no when the troops are allowed to do their jobs and kick some butt then the war would be over in a matter of months. What is unpopular with the American people is the fact that our elected officials spend too much time placing blame, and not enough time fixing problems here in this country. I would say that 90% of them need to be replaced, and not by lawyers.

It is certainly a very bad thing for the dead and wounded on both sides, as well as for their families. And as for the almost $500,000,000,000 spent on Bush's fiasco, how can we ever gain that money back? Just like empty promises and the dead, its gone with the wind. What in heaven's name do you mean by saying that the war will "clear out the cobwebs?" There are a couple of big fat spiders sitting in the middle of the web that is the White House, and their poison will be felt for generations to come.

Responsive leadership? You mean that the leadership will respond to what CNN thinks or says the electorate wants?
Bush did promise and he did deliver. Finally the Americans got the president they always wanted. One that would actually do what he said he would do. I'm sure you don't like what he promised but, following your logic he should get a third term because he promised and he delivered.

Did you think he was kidding?

Open fire!

I think it is great it expoused the left as still being worse than the right the congress has a 14% approval rating. So the senators calling Bush the Worst President in History are the Worst Senators in History and Bush is still more popular than both houses of congress. It's all to funny.

It is a terrible thing. Bush's speech today made everything much more urgent. He is certifiable. He never once addressed the point that Al Queda were NOT in Iraq before the Invasion. Not once. I heard the whole speech. What a total dip-stick.

It depletes our military reserves, and prevents us from being able to go after the terrorists that exist throughout the rest of the world -- both bad things for our security or defense.

Whether we have any benefits from helping Iraq build a new govt is debatable -- but near-exclusive focus on that one region hurts our ability to respond and prevent other global threats.

That's a good theory, but the American were so duped in 2004 that they voted for the incompetent moron.

The Ron Paul train is leaving the station. Be on it.
