Is Bush canceling anime?? I hope not! Someone told me this and I wanted to see if it was true.

no, he's not canceling anime...but i have a source who tells me our birthdays may be canceled starting in october. that monster!!

This is probably one of the more ridiculous rumors I've heard. I sincerely doubt that the president really cares about anime one way or the other and I sincerely hope he's goy better things to do with his time. I also doubt that Bush has the authority, even if he got the FCC involved to issue a blanket "cancelation" of all anime, even if it only covered TV and not DVDs. I'm not sure who I feel more sorry for: the people who were duped into signing the "petition" to protest this bogus action, or the White House staffers who have to answer questions about it.

No, that's completely bogus. Besides, Bush doesn't make the laws, he just has the option of whether or not to sign. Actually Hillary Clinton does try to stop the sale of many video games, she caused Grand Theft Auto to be banned in NY

I've checked The Presidential agenda for 2007 and found no anime anywhere close to his main concern. So, no.

no. its a circulated rumor, started w/ the email for a petition to stop him from doing it (even though he wasnt). and im not sure he can, wouldnt it have some conflict with the freedoms and rights in the constitution.

anime is on so many channels now its funny, but if he REALLY did try (which hes not hes just a jerk)there would be a channel just for it (there already is) but if he did try it would be its own channel, i mean come on you can order all kinds of stuff like porn , violent movies, horror and so on...so i really dont think theres anything to worry about (like i said hes just a jerk)

i don't think he's cancelin anime..
there's alot of rumors about it and petitions too..
but for one man to cancle something that ALL children love.. pshh.. not gunna happen..
like pokemon, digimon, card captors, inuyasha, full metal alchemist, sailor moon, spirited away && more.. that are way more apropriate than american shows like ed edd & eddy, squirel boy, the replacements, && spoungebob
