Our local Mercury dealer is hardly open.So I'm asking here.Why would the lower spark plug drip some water?We had it started,then it killed and when plug was taken out some water dripped out.Any ideas? It's a 1980 something Mercury boat motor.

Some mecurys have no heads or head gasket depends hp.If this is the case doa compression test if the compression is the same in all cyc than check the exhaust plates as it could of over heated an water is leaking in the exhaust to the cyc don't let it sit put out boardoil threw it or it will lock up.

It could be the lower shaft seal. If it is bad it will allow water to be sucked into the lower cylinder.
