everyone's denouncement of Michael Vick for the dog fighting when the world feels nothing is wrong with the slaughtering of animals to make meat? What Michael Vick has done is NOTHING compared to what the slaughter houses do to animals to prepare them for the meat eating public's dinner table.

Does anyone else agree with me? Why condemn Vick when so many people eat meat and those poor animals are abused and ill-treated in ways that can't even be shown to the public.

I agree, it would be nice if people could extend their compassion for dogs to the "food" animals. These animals are treated so cruelly that if cats or dogs were the victims, felony cruelty-to-animals charges would result. See http://www.chooseveg.com/animal-cruelty.asp

All animals feel pain.

Now if the slaughterhouse were to spend an hour or two tearing hunks of flesh out of the animals face, then say break a few of its legs, then chase it until it is so dehydrated and exhausted it can no longer move, befor finally killing it by hangin it by its neck.......I could see your point...but slaugher houses kill the animal as quickly as possible, those dogs are totured

There is a huge difference between fighting animals for sport or entertainment, and slaughtering animals for food or sustenance. I would hope that you would be able to see the difference as well.

I don't think they were eating the dog meat you veggie eating liberal. Have you ever dealt with a cow? They are stupid whereas a dog is comparatively smart. There is difference. Plus, we don't have cow fights where we force the cows to try and kill one another. Give me my beef, chicken, turkey, and pork, yummy.
